Psychotherapy + Clinical Art Therapy
for Adolescents, Adults + Couples
I believe we all have a story to share, to be heard. Sometimes, the stories we are told and the stories we tell about ourselves, can negatively impact our connection to self and others; sometimes we need to better understand and re-author those narratives to connect to our individual strengths and move toward restoration. In more practical terms: how we navigate the world and relationships is informed by our earlier experiences, so if we've learned unhelpful approaches to coping and/or communication, it can make for complications in our interpersonal relationships and overall functioning. Understanding these patterns and how they affect us can bring healing and change.
I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, betrayal, life transitions, and difficulties with communication.
I work from a model which highlights and promotes my client's unique strengths while replacing unhelpful patterns with more healthful ones. When traditional psychotherapy isn't enough, I incorporate EMDR Therapy and/or Art Therapy to help individuals better express and understand their experiences. Each session is thoughtfully and carefully customized to the client's needs. I strive to provide a compassionate and supportive environment for my clients to connect to and transform their personal story in ways that reflect wholeness, long-term growth, and the empowerment of their best selves.

not a state of being.
